PS3 Pain = PSP Gain

According to Sony Computer Entertainment America, as the PS3 shortage is taking its toll on needy gamers, it certainly is not taking its toll on Sony's sales in other areas. Taking a look at reports of the top five retailers in North America, a week-by-week analysis shows a rise in PS2 hardware sales of more than 115 percent over the Thanksgiving period. Sales for PSP units, meanwhile, went up a whopping 280 percent! First party PSP software sales also rose 168 percent over the same period. Sony's other gaming gadgets seem to be holding gamers over. It's either that, or misinformed parents are scooping up the wrong crap for their kids. More PS3 units are on the way, fear not, you may get your hands on one yet.

Yep, my friend got his hands on one today, on accident even. He's only gonna resell it though.
