Dying over a PS3?

Recent stories have been on various news programs reporting a teen was killed by police after stealing a PS3. The teen reportedly stole a PS3 from another teen who waited in line for 3 days. The police approached the house with a warrant, and he was shot and killed (along with his dog). He was unarmed, but a PS3 controller may have been in his hand at the time.
