Wii-Day
If you haven't noticed, Nintendo's new console flew off the shelves at a slightly less velocity than PS3's were sold a few days ago. Many retail outlets around Chicago, IL have turned empty (I can definitely attest to that firsthand), though there weren't any lines by the times stores closed last night. Some stores opened up a few hours earlier to accommodate needy gamers, some lining up outside of Best Buy to get Wii-tickets passed out at around 8am this morning.
Gamers like myself who are Wii-less do have other options. The latest rumor-mill suggests that more Wii's will be flying into stores soon, possibly this Friday (Best Buy is rumored to have something like 200 consoles at some stores). Also, many copies of Zelda and other highly anticipated games are at least well stocked despite EB Games refusing to hand out any more pre-order tickets (I'd definitely say they're probably well stocked). In any case, good luck!
