Wii Ready for Holidays

According to the latest news reports, Nintendo will be announcing today that its new Wii console will be available in North and South America on November 19th, just in time for the forthcoming Holiday season. The new home console geared towards all members of the family (even Granny-no-reflexes) will jump in the market at a solid price of $250. That just might tip the scales as competitors are tossing around crazy numbers near double for their consoles (uhm... Microsoft and Sony if you live under a rock).

Top executives at Nintendo also intend to announce today that every Wii will come with a game compilation called Wii Sports -- including tennis, golf, baseball and bowling -- meant to show off the machine's intuitive controls. In addition, more than 25 new games will be available for Wii this year, varying in a wide range of genre's.

Nintendo anticipates shipping 4 million units worldwide this year alone, so watch out for Wii. We will.
