Wii Sensor Issues - Rumor Squashed!

I didn't even bother to mention the potential Wii "sensor" issues that were fluttering around the world the last few days, I'm sure most of you have heard. If not, reports were ripping around stating the Wii-mote would not work in direct sunlight, and that we would all have to stash our Wii's in dark rooms to play effectively, and so forth. Some big guns, like IGN and 1Up, spazzed out and needed to find out if this was true. They probably couldn't eat or sleep otherwise.

According to an official Nintendo spokesman, "Our testing thus far shows no great risk of light interference when playing a game that relies on the pointer and sensor bar."

Mmmmhmmmm... case closed. Or is it...? Dun dun duuuuun.
