Even more suckiness for the SIXAXIS

News from a Japanese tech site today reveal 2 more sucky things about Sony's new SIXAXIS controller. I've run the website through the Google translator page and came up with these excerpts:

With PS3, the wireless controller by Bluetooth connection bundled is done usually. However, when starting in the substance recognition (the pairing) because it can point the wireless controller, it is necessary to connect the substance and the wireless controller with the USB cable. After the cable junction when the controller central play station button is pushed, recognition job is started, if the controller which is recognized does not drop power source that way available. However, when once power source was dropped, for the second time recognition job with USB connection becomes necessary. Power source of the controller has built in the lithium ion being full electric battery, charge does by way of USB. As for charge approximately 2.5 hours being necessary possible, at the time of full charge work of maximum of 30 hours is. If even with when the electric battery becomes the sky, you connect to PS3 with USB, you can play directly. Furthermore, as for the electric battery because you cannot remove, when the electric battery consumes, it replaces the controller, or it means to put out to repair.

I've taken the liberty to bold the especially good parts of the article about the controller. The two main points being that you need to reconnect the wireless controller every time you turn the power back on to the PS3, and once the internal lithium ion battery dies, you have to replace the controller or send it out for repair. Good going Sony.

So basically, have fun dropping $50 at least on a new controller when the lithium battery dies for good. Fun stuff! PS3 is looking like a poor 360 and Wii rip off right now.

Wow. Hopefully that is something that will get fixed, because that is awful if accurate.
